Antus Racing & Thorowind Farm offer a full service race training program.  For a
monthly fee all of your horse's feed and training is taken care of.  This includes
feed, supplements, daily care and management.  Veterinary and farrier fees are
extra and billed as necessary.

Training Services & Prices*
  • Base Training Rate: $45.00 per day
  • 10% of purse on any placement of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd; no charge for 4th downward
  • Winter / Lay up board is $450/ month.
  • Owner is responsible for all veterinary fees including alternative medicine (i.e.
    massage therapy) if needed, as well as dentistry (approx. $100 annually).
  • Owner is responsible for farrier fees (approx. $90.00 monthly)
  • Owner is responsible for transportation costs, varies by distance and fuel.

Running Expenses*
  • Pony to the post: varies by track, averages $20 - $25
  • Jock Mount: varies by track, averages $65 - $100
  • Pre-race meds: On an "as needed / required" basis, billed as veterinary expense.

  • Cross country course available for schooling; $15 per rider, each group must have
    ground person.
